Default Hotchkis not dropping enough in the rear?

I just have a quick question: if you have Hotchkis springs installed on your car, what is the height from the ground to the top of the rear wheel well on both driver and passenger side? Please also post your wheel/tire specs (I have a 275/35/19 on the rear).

The reason is, mine still looks "lifted" in the rear. I did a search, but only found threads about an uneven drop, where the passenger side rear sits higher than the driver's side (which I also suffer from). But my main concern is that I still have a good amount of gap in the rear. The fronts are fine and don't have a huge gap, but the rears look off. Here's what I am dealing with, measure from the ground to the top of the REAR wheel well:

DRIVER'S SIDE: ~27.125"
PASSENGER SIDE: ~27.5"

Any ideas? Is this normal?

I am also going to Hotchkis this Thursday for them to inspect further. They checked out the car yesterday and thought it was off too, but they didn't have time to look at it just then so they scheduled for me to go in Thursday morning.

It was funny since there was a guy sitting in his office while I was there who came out after a few minutes and introduced himself. "Hi, I'm John Hotchkis." I was like why the heck are you stating your whole name? Who the heck are you? Just fix my damn problem! Then I realized, oh, John HOTCHKIS. He's like "yeah the rear looks off. But we'll fix it." Well, he's a really nice guy to come out and express concern for customers. I guess I probably looked like an idiot since I barely acknowledged him.

I wanted these springs but the passenger vs. drivers lean that I read about on here stopped me cold. Any springs not do this?

I also PM'd bstansbu earlier since he has the same springs and same tire sizes, and his specs are:

DRIVER'S SIDE: 26.9"
PASSENGER SIDE: 26.8"

Compared to mine again:
DRIVER'S SIDE: ~27.125"
PASSENGER SIDE: ~27.5"

That means I am almost a quarter inch higher on the driver's side, over half an inch higher on the passenger side! Does anybody know why I am so high on the rears? I guess the uneven drop also bothers me, but the car looks "raked" which bothers me even moreso. I specifically avoided getting the Tein S-tech since I didn't want the raked look. Hotchkis was supposed to be better at addressing this issue than Tein, but unfortunately it looks more raked than the Tein's right now

are you sure they installed your springs correctly?? fronts and rears?

and yeah don't laugh, there are shops that can't make the difference. Which shop did you go to? I assume a reputable shop that knows what they're doing?

Absolutely for me, but the passenger side fitting adjustment was less easy...

I had F1 Motorsports do the install. They are well known on this forum and a lot of people buy wheels/tires/ from them. I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow for Hotchkis to determine what is wrong. I could go back to F1, but they're like 50 miles away from me.

Can you take a measurement? Also, what size tires are you running?

Yes, it was sold. I was running 245-35/19 up front and 275-35/19 in the rear.

This is a little OT: but did you get F1 to install the hotchkis sways too?

Also, what did they charge you for the install?

(I asked Chris to get the hotchkis springs and sways for when my rims come in)

Thanks.

I only got the springs, not the sways. I would tell Chris to order your springs/sways right away since I ordered my wheels at the end of June, and they came in August, but then the springs went on backorder so I just got them put on about a week ago. Just an FYI so you can get everything done at once instead of having to possibly wait 2-3 weeks.

The cost of the Hotchkis springs + install was $225 or so.

Did you end up rolling your fenders? And did Chris do it, or somewhere else?

I didn't have to roll the fenders, but then again my offset is +29 vs your +23. Also, I'm running a 275 vs your 285, and I believe the Toyo's are a narrower tire than the BFG's.

But I believe that F1 doesn't roll fenders. I asked them about it when I was going to go with a +17 rear offset, and Chris said that they shave the fenders instead of rolling them

Yeah he said something about cutting them. I hope it's not a bad idea to do this.

They did shave/trim the fenders on their drift 350z.
