Thanks for the pics. I guess we're the only 2 with these set ups. Hot ride BTW.

Negative, I also have that same setup. I had to go with just the springs. A buddy of mine had the tein flex coilovers. Paid about 1400 or so. though he only dropped it a pube hair of an inch .70 front and .60 rear. Which is what I have. He scraped almost everywhere. And the ride was stiffer.

Default What are the S Tech Spring rates

I am getting a set of these installed tomorrow.
Does anyone know the spring rates on these off hand? How is the ride compared to stock?
Will my wife notice it is lowered?

teins website - http://www.tein.com/ti/p26.html

the spring rates are the first listed. however, the s-techs are apparently progressive in the front and they don't list the initial rate.

EDIT - sorry, just read your signature, you have a G35 coupe
new link - http://www.tein.com/ti/p30.html

hope that helps

Thanks for the compliment. I am sure there are alot more people are running S-Techs.

As for as spring rate goes, I have no idea. It rides similar to stock. If you are running stock wheels (17s or 18s) your wife probably won't notice. But if you are on 19s, it's noticible.

I got on the website right after I posted and checked into the numbers. I never should have asked the spring rate part of the post.

Its good to here that the ride is similar to stock. My G is across the street getting the springs installed as I type. I will go right over and snap some shots after its done and post them up.

Im pretty excited as this is the first time I have lowered a car. In the past I was always lifting trucks so I have no idea what to expect performance wise. I trust the guy doing the install as he 1. owns the shop. 2. has a 350z with the same springs that rides very nice.

We shall see!!!

Good luck, sounds like a good mechanic who does the install.
Lowering it makes the car looks alot more clean, especially you are on 19s, which will enhance the effect.
Even though your wife noticed, i bet she will like the new look rather than being mad
Oh yeah, post some pics if you can.

Default She didn't notice

Ahh. she missed it all together but my neighbors wife asked if I had gotten a new car or something so it is different for sure. I love it. Rides nice, flat turns, handles speed bumps still. It looks great. I will eventually post a picture or two. Once I get the home pc working again.
