Default tanabe sustec seven

the tanabe-usa website now shows these as available

http://www.tanabe-usa.com/coilovers/seven.asp

available as 10kg/mm front/rear or 12kg/mm front/rear

MRSP: $2580

they better be something for that price. pricing themselves out of most of the competition and close to the highly touted zeals.

the TEAS controller listed as $598.

There's an overview of the coilovers in this month's Import Tuner. Looks like it'll be worth the cost, as you have multiple settings you can use that's self adjustable by speed determined presets, and quick adjustability from these coilovers that can accomplish setting changes in .013 seconds. Not sure if these can adjust ride height though, as that wasn't mentioned in the article, but on the website it seems like it will be able to adjust ride height. I'm sure you can find the coilvers & TEAS controller for 2-2.2k from vendors when this becomes widely available since it's $2500 MSRP for the coilovers & $598 for the controller.

for that kind of money, you would think that they would be monotube shocks. unfortunately, these will have smaller pistons than the monotube competitors, and they will be louder.

for that price, look at the zeal's, and the new swift super mach coilovers.

protocav

what have you heard on the super mach
http://www.swiftsprings.com/index.as...ROD&ProdID=305

they give you the option of choosing your front rate, but not the rear. do you know the rear rate? or options? if you don't i'll call them to find out.

who makes their dampers? are they really 4-way adjustable? i mean, very few would have the ability to use and/or properly adjust these things! they would be for the experienced racer/suspension tuner.

the rear sping rates are 8kg/mm, and the fronts are selectable. these should be nice. i have re-spring my hks coilovers with swift springs, and they feel much better. swift makes a quality product.

thanks for the rear rates protocav

re: the super mach's - "are they really 4-way adjustable?"

i'm an idiot. i assumed that meant they were adjustable for high and low speed compression/rebound damping independently = "4 way", thus the difficult to dial in comment.

at that price range i would assume that they were 4-step adjustable simultaneously for rebound/compression.

sorry for my confusion
