Question Brake pad shim and shim cover replacement

When changeing the brake pads...how many are installing new brake pad shims and shim covers? IF you replace these where are folks buying the new shim and shim covers?

Thanks.

It's up to you. I don't bother with my racing pads, but for street use, I'd use the stock shims. They are not required, and it's not a safety issue if your shop left them off.
