I use a brake quieter "glue", is a blue spray you cover the back of the pads with, let it dry to a "tacky" feel and then you put them on. Been using this for years (a can goes a long way), never had a break squeal on me. (Why mess with sucess).

I would say the brand but I am at work...
Wierd... so this goes between the back of the pad and the shims? I just used some high-temp grease between the pad and the bottom shim, and the bottom and top shim, and then a little bit on top of the top shim. I guess glue would work in the opposite way of the grease, instead of allowing the shim to move it would hold it still. Never even thought of that.
