Default Installation Price Check

I got quoted $350 to install my hotchkiss sways and springs by a local tuner shop. They worked on 350z extensively before. I am not really a gearhead, so I don't feel too confident on doing the installation and just wanted some opinions if possible on whether that price seems fair. TIA!

lol...
carv2 quoted me 6-8 hours on headers install...
while i've heard from many posters that they went to a shop and got it banged out in like 3 hours...
and carv2 is very 350z friendly...
btw carv2 did quote me 250 + 50 (300 total) for coilovers install and adj...
u r installing both sways and springs (which they have to remove entire suspension to do)
so 350 sounds legit... by what im quoted

it's a bit on the high side, but nothing outragous. Try ask around someone in your area on the forum and see if they could help you out.

If you go by the warranty book at a dealership to replace factory springs... the book quotes 6 hours...

With the deal we worked out with our service deparment they charge by the warranty book... So they want 6 hours for their spring install... so yeah.. i dont push my customers to install their springs here... but we do include alignment...

But when it comes to headers, the warranty book says 4.5 hours

Don’t shop for price – shop for experience and customer services. What value is a cheap install done improperly?

I had the hotchkis stage one kit installed yesterday by a local shop owned by a friend of mine. He charged 405.00 for the install and allignment. Sounded high to me, but the car looks and drives great. Therefore, I think your price is very fair.

Everyone starts somewhere, get some buddies, some tools, some beer, and a DIY guide and get to it.

Where did you get them installed? The reason I wasn't planning to do the headers was the high labor cost... but if 3.5 hours labor is all it takes, I might as well go for it.
