Default The lightest weight coil-over set up?

As soon as winter ends, and i dont have to worry about snow any more i plan on changing to a coil over set up on my Z. It will see track time, not purely track but some, and ALOT of street racing. Being the weight ***** that i am i have been hard pressed to find information on what is the lightest, while still maintaining high quality, coil-over suspension available with in reason. If any one has any insight on this id greatly appreciate it. And believe me, ive searched long and hard, no suitable answer found, closest thing ive found are RS*R titanium springs. Definately a step in the right direction but i know coil-overs can save much more than 4lbs.

Thanks,
Nick

nick quote - "ive searched long and hard"

huh, typing in "light" and "coilover" in the site search engine gives you 6th post down....

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....light+coilover

cusco zero-2 titanium - pricey but it is your lightweight solution. most other coilovers are going to be close to the same weight to each other.

and also - "and ALOT of street racing" = stupid . please keep it at the track. not only for your safety, but for the innocent others on the road. there are way too many threads recently about z-owner's deaths and unfortunately the deaths of innocent bystanders/drivers.

hope that helps and keep it safe

you don't need coilovers to street race you just have to be an idiot.

Weird you found it so easily, maybe i just wasnt searching correctly.... i wasted alot of time. But like i said the car will be getting track use, not JUST street. I know that street racing is looked down upon by many, and dont expect you to support it, express your opinion, ill take it into consideration, i only expect the same from you. As far as titanium and the street not mixing? Care to elaborate? Maybe ive missed something.

It was my belief that a lightweight suspension was a benefit as it allowed the suspension to react more quickly as it reduced the inertia of the suspension in motion.

titanium is stronger and lighter
but it is also more brittle
and when titanium does fail it shatters instead of bending like normal metals.

Right on, Does any one know the amount of weight saved vs stock Front/Rear? With the Cusco Ti as opposed to say a Tein set up.
