Can you put a spacer on lowering springs for the front to raise it back up
I'm thinking about getting the tokico spring and shock kit and running the tokico front springs and a set of 06 rear springs (i have an 03). The problem is that the tokico springs are supposed to drop the car like 1" or something and i don't want to go that low with my body kit. So is there any way to put a spacer on the front or anything and how much could it be raised? I want to achieve almost stock ride height or a little lower. Tein htech has a linear 358 front spring with .3" drop but would like to go with a higher linear rate like the tokico 375. Is there anything i can do or do i have to go with the htechs, any suggestions are welcomed.
oh and happy holidays everyone

I know I'm kinda being captain pain in the butt to say this, but make certain that what you really want your car to end up like, isn't best served by a investment in coilovers.
Now to best go along with what you did ask for.
Tc Kline 1" linear drop springs $289 400/425 spring rates
Koni Sport shocks with the front spring clip removed and reset in the higher position, this will give you a 1/2" gain in height or a front .5" drop with the above springs.
For the rear I would run oem 04.5+ rear springs (427lbs in rate) on cut down and shimmed oem upper spring seat's*. I have very specific reason to say that shimming more then 3/8" should not be attempted, though up to 3/8" is a non issue.
*Your oem upper rear spring seats are NOT make of a easy material to cut or to pick a slight amount to cut off. Count on a automatic reduction in height of .8" and back filling with shims to get the rear drop your after.

what about the hotchkis they lower the front about a half an inch, bt as far as the rear I dunno if a 3/4 inch drop is what you want.
I think it might work, but don't know if you care for that brand of spring or not.

thanks for the replies guys. i actually ordered the tokico shocks already, and i'm getting some 06 rear springs from a member on here and might just try that out for a bit.
Those TC kline springs sound like what i might want to run, do you think that the spring rate is too high for the tokico's? I'm just scared to scrape up my front end more then i do now, though it's only if i go into a parking lot with a dip in the entrance. I have the c-west long nose kit so it sticks out a little more in the front. Good thing it's flexible haha, i think fiberglass would be cracked by now.
Gsedan, i know you know alot of stuff about the suspensions for z's & g's, i've read alot of your posts, whats your input on running the tein htech front spring and rear 06 stock springs? I basically want a setup that would be good for fun driving and maybe an autocross event. I've never done one before. I also have hotchkis swaybars on. Do you know what material the upper spring seats are made of? Do you think an electric bandsaw would cut through them ok? I saw the post where you posted a picture of them cut with the shims, just curious what you used to do it with.
thanks

I knew that someone had posted the answer to your question about how much spring the D-specs can deal with. I ran a search and looked it up. Tokico's own 1.2" drop linear drop springs are 375/375 in rate

The rear upper spring seats are basically large chunks of what you can call "tire rubber". The catch about using a electric band saw would be how on earth your able to hold them in place to get a even cut, not to mention that when I use a hacksaw I have to stop every few blade strokes and open up the cut to spray wd40 to free up the blade. It may work if the blade makes a melted path, but if the blade suddenly locks you may get injured somehow, I dunno. Oh and if the cut is not even, it's really not easy to go back and fix. You'll basically have to use a dremel sanding drum and carefully shave very slowly to even things up. I've cut down 3 pairs, 1 for myself and 2 for members here. This member may not need his anymore as I believe he sold the coilovers he was bought them for. https://my350z.com/forum/private.php...pm&userid=8589
Here's a cut down rear upper seat sitting on a pair of 3/8" poly spacers that I made and a uncut oem spacer to the right.
