Default Hawks HPS front pads installed

The pedal feels a little firmer, stops just as well as stock, no squeeks and no brake dust so far.

I had the rotors re-surfaced before I put on the pads and followed the burnishing procedure on the Hawk website. Overall very happy with this upgrade

Hawks wraped my rotors. I was not pleased with the performance of the pads. It seemed like Hawks don't have as good of a bite as stock. Especially when it comes to INITIAL BITE. Hawks bite as heat is produced.

the lack of initial bite is exactly what I loved about them. The stock pads were horrible in that respect. Anything below 5mph the car would just jerk to a stop.

I don't know about you but when it comes to brake performance, I want good intial bite.

I had Hawks on both front & rear. The funny thing is that when I was changing out the pads, front still had about 60% left and rear was almost completely gone. In my opinion, that was due to fronts not having a good intial bite which is making the rear pads harder.

If you want a smooth brake less intial bite than stock, you can also try Satisfied Pro Ceremic. Very smooth braking.

Yeah, to each his/her own. Don't have the Z any longer so no need for the SPC pads. I am looking for Hawks for my '06 G35C though.
