Default I may have your answer!!!!

A couple of weeks after I had my new Stillen sways installed I noticed a clunking sound coming from the passenger side suspension. It wouldn't happen all the time, but at certain times when the suspension articulated or the body rolled a little. It sometimes was very loud. I took it into the dealer and they figured out that the bolt holding down the strut was loose or was not torqued down enough and every time the suspension articulated and lifted off the strut it would slam down and cause the clunking sound when it impacted agains the strut support. After they tightened down the bolts everything was fine. Hope this helps you out.

I hear a clunking sound as well, but I'm not sure if it's my suspension or shocks. I hear the clunks when I brake. It's only once I engage the brakes though. So if I keep engaging the brakes the clunk comes. Sometimes it decides not to clunk either. I'ma hafta raise hell with the shop cause this just started happening after I got my car back from the shop about a week ago.

Got my hotchkis sways installed today, went for a test ride, windows down, no music, no creaks!

Make sure you grease the inside bushing real well, including the side walls. We also greased the outside bushing where it meets the metal bracket. Crank up those bolts as well. All I gotta say is the back was a b***h since we didn't have a lift, just jack stands.

Don't overlook the obvious -- Check the front end link nuts for tightness. My Hotchkis sways clunked when they came loose.

You should also check the stabilizer bushing. part 54613

Sorry to post this question but can anyone tell me how to get to the upper link bolts? Nothing fits, the spring are in the way, and a small wrench doesn't give enough torque to get it loose. Pictures would be appreciated.

Did you try removing the wheel and getting at it from the side?
