Default front brakes

Got an 03 with 29 k. I know the front brakes are going and I want to do them myself. I would like to use the ceramic pads for the reason of all the brake dust from the regular pads. What suggestions does anyone have as for using which type and is it a good idea? any help will be helpful. thanks

The Nismo pads hold up pretty well, very little dust but they do squeak everynow and than....

Hawks HPS pads have no squeaks I found. I mistakenly ordered a generic NAPA brake pad and I got rid of them in a month, I could not stand the squeaking. More annoying then brake dust.

Ceramic pads are OK for low dust, but you give up some stopping power. I second the recommendation of Hawk HPS pads as a better alternative - they offer OEM or better stopping distances, but with dramatically less dust. Both Tire Rack and Performance Nissan sell them for the Z.

I like my Hawk HPS pads as well; less dust than OEM. (I have some noise, but it's probably b/c I didn't do the best install job)
