Our prices may be a little steep but keep in mind you are considering to get work done at a dealership and dealership rates will be more expensive than any small mom and pop shop. Also, dont forget that you are getting it installed by a Nissan trained tech. Consider that the service department here charges $95 by the hour but after much fighting we got them to lower the rates to $80 by the hour for our customers. Hope this helps....

 

That is way too much time. Not to take anything away from the guys at Performance nissan, but I wll say this again. Their parts department is awesome, but their service department is way too expensive since it is a dealership. Nissan techs are not that special to pay them a ton of money to do a brake job.

6 hours at the dealership for a brake job means. 2 Hours to do the work (if that) and 4 hours they pocket in commission. It is not a secret that dealership techs do this. This is how they make their money. Why do you think they hate it when people bring in a job that requires doing some leg work to diagnose a problem such as a rattle in the interior?

 

Thanks for the feedback. I realize you guys at performance nissan have to do what you can to make money and stay competetive. But I think until I get into something more mechanically challenging, like maybe installing a differential or final drive gear or something, I'll worry about installation on my own for brake rotors and fluid.

I'm still more than happy to give you the business of buying the parts from you guys.

 

All 4. upgrade from Non-Brembo to stage 2 only.. Thought that was quite high so held back and prob just do it myself. The problem is I would be w/o a car for like 1 month if I did it myself because I rarely have time =(

 

i paid about 600 for everything...slotted rotors, ss brake lines, hawk hps pads, and motul

 

DIY is the way to go. I installed Brembos, Super ATE blue and Stoptech lines in 6 hours or so. I am a newbie at refilling brake fluid, so it took longer and wasted some fluid. I did a slow and steady job and got it right.
You have to have the right tools.

 

a brake job is a no brainer ....just make sure to take your time...you don't want no brakes to squeal like a sonofab!tch.

Yeah and any "custom or speed" shop is gonna be $100 an hour unless you have a connect. Damn expensive hobby we have here.
