Any updates on this? Is this the same RobiSpec that does EVOs and used to work with Road Race Engineering?

It is the same Robert Fuller from RobiSpec that does amazing work with the Evo8's. We had him at our shop for suspension tuning on a bunch of customers's cars, however he was pressed for time to check out the Z. We will be in future contact with him as he works with a few West Coast cars and I will cover his findings in a future post.

The helper spring is considered as a form of minimizing wheel hop and will assist keeping the spring seated under light preload settings.

Currently, I sense a bit of understeer during mid-turn acceleration in high speed cornering. The first adjustment will be using Robi's preference of less spring and more swaybar. So I have a set of lighter springs on the way from Stance and a set of Hotchkis swaybars here for install.

I have a few sets of the version 3 regular style coilovers in stock and you can order the Pro upgrade when it comes available. Message me tomorrow on AIM and I will get you more info.

Thanks for the updates. Glad to see you guys have a good suspension tuner working with you. Is there any word on that 11kg/6kg version you were talking about? Any idea on the height adjustment range?

The 11k is special order from Japan. They can do it, but the springs would have to be ordered and shipped air...One option is to drop the front down to a 10k and rear at a 6k. These springs are fairly stocked in the U.S. I may do that and actually tighten up the front sway bar one step.

In terms of ride height adjustment, I have been way too busy to get the car up on a lift to plauy around with it, however I would say that my current ride height is a tad lower than the Tanabe DF210 springs. This setup is actually 30mm higher than what I was set at before and it can still go lower!

Ray,
That 10k/6k set up might just be perfect for the Z. Get back to me. Call me.
