hmm, these or buddy club? how stiff are these, to me the spring rates don't make any sence, with such a huge gap. i know its mostly about the valving and the dampening, but are these really stiff? can you get a OEM feel on the softest setting?

My right rear side is silent, but my left rear makes a clunk noise under light bumps. I've took it out and re-tightened everything. I have a bit of preload on the spring as well. I also put Dynamat on the uppermounts between the body of the car and uppermount. That seemed to help a bit but the noise is still there. Any ideas?

Well, I rechecked everything & it seems nice and tight. The funny thing is that the squeaking seemed to have gone away now. We'll see how it goes though once I do a little more driving.

Tried the Stances last weekend on my car and they were pretty awesome. I must say, the performance and ride quality of these are top notch. The only gripe I had is that my 315 wide tire rubs on the rear . Nothing a 3mm spacer and some rolled fenders wont fix.

haven't sampled tantalus yet because the roads there are 8 potholes every 2 feet. not worth it, lol. plus, the recent killings (3 people killed), hpd frequents that place a lot more.

a friend of mine has the HKS LS+'s, and i really like the comfort it offers. however, at full slam, it gets crappy (not fully height adjustable).

A little off subject, but what's in the middle of your front grille area? (BTW nice looking ride - the rims looks great...and with 315 wide tires !)

Thanks! That thing in the middle of my grille is a transponder (lap timing devise) hanging off of my OEM tow hook. Unless of course you are talking about the huge silver thing that takes up my grille area, then that is my JWT intercooler.

lol...at first it looked like you had 2 smaller IC's welded together in the middle - but I thought I'd ask b/c that wouldn't make sense (your car looks too nice to have done something like that). I've also used the tow hook to zip-tie my transponder to...but the transponder I was using was much smaller.

The JWT is a twin intercooler setup. The ones for the G35 are even more spaced apart...

Well, I drove a littlem more today & the squeeking is still there . I think I'm going to take it completely off to make sure everything is in order. I might look into someones suggestion of putting some sort of rubber spacer to see if it helps. Kinda sounds like the springs making the noise though. Sounds like it maybe rubbing something as it compresses. As I've mentioned, the noise factor is the only thing I really don't like since I love how this rides. Oh well...I'll keep you guys posted...

Yeah, I have it on the rear right side as well. Well at least it's a consistant issue. Now I hope we can pinpoint what the problem is or at least a fix.

Edit: I just got back from driving from my GF's house & it hardly made a squeak this time. This thing is definitely moody

So your rear tires (315) are rubbing the spring on the coilover? How much clearance does your rim have from the spring? Wheel size / offsets?
Did you have any isses with the 315 rubbing the fender previously when lowered?

thanks!!

Wheels are 18"x 9.5" +30 with no prior issues. I threw a 5mm spacer on there and it rubbed my fender for a bit and cut a groove in the tire. A 3mm spacer probably would have worked, but still may have rubbed a tiny bit on the fender.
