Check out this nismo Z at TAS 2006. Look at how much caster is running on the front. Only if we knew how it was done !

Look at how the wheel sits in the arch. It would appear quite a bit forward which would mean positive caster.

 

Only if it REMOVES caster, oem runs pretty high numbers.

More caster will give more oversteer.

Maybe I didn't do something correctly.

It looks to me that the entire wheel is moved forward. The Nagisa Auto Adjustable Tension Control Rods shown above will move ONLY the lower ball joint, with the upper ball joint being the pivot point. I couldn't fathom a reason to add a sh*tload more caster into a Z. We already have about 9 degrees of positive caster. To move the wheel that far forward with only moving the lower ball joint, I would guess it has about 20 degrees positive caster! Then again, I never did find an explanation for the 2 lower ball joints......

$1200.00 to adjust caster? I don't think so.

More positive caster should allow you to run less static camber, but I forget the downside.

 

I'm not sure but we might encounter more bump steer at the same time?

 

bump steer is cause by the arcs of the tie rods not being the same as that of the wheel (control arm). i don't know what effect caster has on that though.

my understanding of caster is it provides more stability at higher speeds. but i think it slows down steering response.
