Allignment #'s
I dropped my car 1" to 1.2" all around. I also installed SPC rear arms and bolts. I'm going in for an alignment this weekend and I'm looking for some numbers for the shop to shoot for. They said they had stock specs for the 350z which is good but I had some questions. I did a search and found that in the rears with SPC i could get to 1.5 or so in camber but what am I looking for in the Toe? I'm more concerned about contact patch for drag so could I squeeze the camber to 1 or less(pros/cons)? OK, now the front! I did nothing as far as camber arms go, so I don't think camber can be adjusted(what #'s can I expect). I believe they can mess with the toe in the front but not sure. If they can, once again what numbers to shoot for or expect. Thanks!
Well, stock rear camber range is -1.08 to -2.08 and nominal is -1.58 inches. Rear total toe-in on 17" tires is .008 to .071 with a nominal of .039 and with 18" tires range is .043 to .106 with a nominal of .075 inches. I am not sure how you would like to set yours up for auto-x or drag or whatever... but I reduced my rear camber to about -1.2 and traction is WAY better now. Now my front has huge understeer (at auto-x) and I am installing the 350Evo rear sway on medium to tighten the rear and help out the front.

For Drag racing you want as much contact patch as possible on the rear tires. A agreesive negative camber is for cornering, not going straight. So I would go with a slightly negative camber in rear (0 to -.5) since you said you wanted to drag race.
As far as more negative camber helping in corners, it depends on a lot of factors (tires, pressure, suspension set up, the driver, ...).
I would go with less negative camber(0 to -.5) in the rear and slightly more in the front (-.5 to -1). Then take tire temps after a race and see what you need to do to get more traction. Tire temps are the best way to see what you need to adjust. I wrote a thread on how to take tire temps and a good pyrometer is pretty cheap (~$100).

Well, I chickened out! They put the rears in spec but could have done what you said( 0 to -.5) with the kit. I only have a few bolt-ons and with 275/35/18 nitto 555's on the back, traction is no longer an issue. I like the fact that when I do add more HP that I can adjust them in further! I'll read your thread on tire temp. also, thanks
