Question Brake pads from Rotora BBK

Sup y'all. I just got my Rotora big brake kit today. I should have them on by the weekend. Anyway, I was curious if anyone upgraded the brake pads Rotora provided with the kit to a better one for greater stopping force. I thought I read that back in the day but can't seem to find it. Anyway, let me know if I should keep these pads or if there is a better upgrade, pls let me know. Thanks

Once you put 355mm rotors on - no need to worry abou the brake pads anymore. You will have more stopping power than you ever could image. Actually - it will take you some time to get use to!

If you're going to be driving on the street, the pads that ship with the kit will most likely be more than adequate. If you intend to take the car on a racetrack, then yes, you should definitely consider switching to a more aggressive race compound. The pads that ship with BBK's are designed to work over a broad range of street conditions, but don't have the heat capacity necessary for what they will experience on a road course.
To get the most out of your system, make sure you do a good bed-in on the system once it's installed: http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp...contents.shtml

I had the street pads and as I got faster out at the track, I noticed that the regular street pads were not holding up. I switched to their more aggressive pad and it worked out really well. Listen to Jeff and break in the pads properly.

I forget which pad it was. I would have to look at the invoice, but it is the compound that is a step down from full race. Full race needs to be heated up for it to work, while mine will bite even when cool.

Also it definitely has a sh!tload of more brake dust. On the street pads I was loving it cleaning wise

Maybe consult with Loren to see if another brand makes a pad that will fit.

Axxis is what they prefer. Just don't know whether that better or Hawk.

Thanks you'll I really appreciate all the comments. I decide to get the BBK cuz my front rotors were really worn out (you can feel the shaved groove that the pads made) and I figured the pads were gone too. And I didn't think OEM kits (front) were suppose to squeel that much whenever I try to stop. So instead of installing new OEM rotors and pads I decide to go BBK (Front now/Rear later) plus the red Rotoras match my redline.

I have Rotora brakes and I track. I do have track pads for them, but haven't tried them yet. I really don't feel I need them with a 355 rotors and open wheels. Probably will try them at Robeling this May since that track is hard on brakes and tires.
