Brake Service
Well looks like it's time for me to get my brakes done. Anyone know what the price range is for getting them done at a dealership?
Should i upgraded the pads while I'm doing them? And if so any recommendations?

...just got my done yesturday, id thought id get nismo pads and new rotors but after talking to the guy in service, he quoted me 195 bucks for each front rotor "touring model" 155 for front nismo pads and 180 for the back! Thats insane!!!! What they did do was reserface the front rotors and new stock pads! labor was 225 parts 69....319 bucks!!!
i bought pads and rotors on ebay for $292 shipped...waiting for them to get here and gonna pay a guy in the service department $60 to put them on for me.

look into some aftermarket pads if youdo any kind of agressive driving. something like EBC Red Stuff/ Hawk/ Porject Mu Pads are all great pads and do not cost an arm and a leg. The Nismo Pads are just not worth the money. If you are just a daily driver that doesnt push the car stick with the stock pads. Just my 2 cents
i just got the axis ultimate pads (f + r) for under $100 shipped, and paid a local shop $100 for the install. so under $200, and i love them. more bite than stock, no squaking at all, and no brake dust so far.

I have heard really good things about the axis pads for daily driving. Very low dust and good bite and that was a great price for them. The more I hear the more I think I will put them on the wifes car.
The dealership quoted me around 280 for the pads and turning the rotors...
When i first talked to the guy he said since it was my first brake service I would need new everything.. pads/rotors.. and he quoted me some insane amount, like $800.. So i promptly started to walk out as I laughed...
