Default "ebay rotors" reviews

i bought some rotors from a seller (Gripforce-Brakes) on ebay, and I thought i'd share the reviews of the rotors from other buyers with you guys. Before I decided to buy these rotors, I went back about 6 months prior and wrote a bunch of the seller's buyers to see how the rotors are holding up for them, and below are their responses. Many of these buyers are not Z or G owners, I just wanted to see what the quality is like overall:

the rotors I bought are these right here...if you've purchased from this seller before, please share your experience:

and the store:

1. They have worked out great for me. I was afraid at first that they might not for the price, but I was going to make my decision when I saw the actual rotors. The only complaint that I had was that they had to order me a new set of rotors...something about some oil or grease stain on them...not sure, but I ended up waiting about a month and a half to get the rotors. I love them though. Good Luck with them.

2. they work fine no problems, would gladly by from them again

3. Chuck,
The rotors have been GREAT! I put them on my 1/2 ton 4wd, with oversized BFGs. Along with ceramic pads, the rotors have worked out great. I was impressed with the plating out of the box and it's still holding up well along the edge and in the hub area. I'll buy again when our Avenger needs brakes!! What more can I say........
Drive safe,

4. I havent had any problem with the rotors. The only thing about them is after a couple of months they'll start to rust where the pads make contact like most other rotors.

5. Chuck,
I like them.. They were installed with ceramic pads when i got them and still look great. No appreciable wear showing. Finish looks like when installed. The one drawback there might be doesn't bother me, but may bother some people. When applying the brakes rather hard, they are noisey. Normal braking is fine, and they do stop well. It's the slots passing through the pad material that makes the noise.

6. Hi Chuck, The Rotors are holding up fine. They are on an Infinity G35. I had a problem with the brakes grabbing severely. To the point where it was almost impossible to ease into the garage. I replaced the rotors and it is like driving a new car. No problems at all. So far so good. Good price too. Anyway, I wasn't disappointed.-----

7. I have had no problems with the rotors...I also bought the brake pads from gripforce...everything is holding up well and they look great too! If you have any more questions let me know!

8. there still good but i should of bought the slotted one my mistake.

9. Absolutely no problems, I changed pads at the same time, they look and fit great, and perform well. I recommend them.

10. mine were for a Mitsu 3000gtvr4 and it appeared that the fronts might have been warped when shipped. they told me that they would break in o.k. the pads are metal/high performance and may be too hard for street use-- i might have to go to softer pads. rears work fine....

11. Good question. I can not recommend them now. I have a pulsating when I stop. I don't know if it is the rotors, the pads, or the installation. I left positive feedback, and the seller was good to deal with. Until I figure out the problem, though, the rotors are a prime suspect.

12. These were high quality rotors, and as a professional auto repair shop owner and operator I can say they did extremely well, no warping after miles of hard braking, and excellent stopping performance. Also pad wear is more than acceptable for a slotted drilled rotor. I would recommend either kevlar based or ceramic based pads for your nissan combined with these rotors for a dramatic braking improvement. Thank You for your question, hope this info helps.

13. Rotors worked fine. No problems and the price was great. Used performace friction pads and russel stainless brake lines for a complete package

14. well it was actually for my boyfriend and I havent heard any complaints yet. I think hes happy with them. the look nice on the car

15. Hi Chuck,
LOL I did the same thing before I ordered these rotors---- and I got a good reccomend for the ebayer. Unfortunately I have been out ot state for a few months and the mechanic that was supposed to work on my stang never did the work yet -- so the darn rotors are stiil in the box! SO I really cant help you except to say I did research these both online and with a mechanic buddy who also is heavy into racing and performance-- and they got the thumbs up! Wish I could have been more help.

16. They seem to be holding up pretty good, they sure beat the original cast iron maxima brake rotors. The only thing I noticed about the brake rotors was a slight noise coming from the front brakes on a fast stop (Sounds like noise related to it being drilled and slotted) and there is currently no wobbling wheel when I press on the brakes hard. The shiny color on the front rotors have been discolored due to my cheap brake pads. They fit like the original, no modifications was required. If your car is a maxima, you might want to look up maxima.org for more feedback. For the price and quality, I'm quite happy with the product. I have drove almost 5000 miles on these rotors maybe even more through rain, sleet, snow storms, hills, hauling *** through the desert heat and normal everyday driving in las vegas. I'm running 17" x 7.5" with 145/40 tires on the front & 17" x 8 with 145/40 tires on the rear. If your tires or rims are bigger than this, I would highly suggest going with a bigger brake kit. I hope this helps out and I know the problems with the maxima's cheezy O.E.M. brake rotors.

17. Chuck, I have installed the rotors, but I have not installed the new engine yet. So I have not driven with them yet. They fit great, and they are a high quality rotor. I will be buying from them again.

18. Hi . The rotors we purchased were for a mustang GT unfortunately they only hit the street last week because the car was stored for the winter(were in Chicago). I will tell you that I found them to be good quality. My son mostly drives the car , he said the braking was greatly improved he is impressed. The only negative on the transaction was the delivery time. If i remember correctly it took almost three weeks but you cant beat the price. Good luck with whatever you decide

19. these are horrible rotors they were warped already and the made so much noise I just stuck with the original equipment rotors. I really did not the quality at all. I hope this helped you!

(i replied back to this buyer, asking him what vehicle and how many miles was driven before they warped, and this was his response below)

2002 3.5L Nissan Maxima and they were warped right out of the box I just did not install them right away. I sent them positive feedback before I knew. Maybe this was just one of those few cases they have a problem but they would not take them back so that upset me a little but oh well.
