NEED ASAP RESPONSE. For those that swapped Brembos on
We did the brembo swap from a G35 onto a my enthusiast 350Z. We swapped the rotors, pads, calipars, and the rubber line up to the hard line.
The G35 works successfully (swapped the OEM 350Z's onto it). The 350Z is having some issues.
The Z will not hold brake pressure, we've bled the system twice, all the air is out of the line from all 4 bleeders. We started from the back, the furthest away from the master cylinder, and worked our way to the closest. There is no leaks from the calipars or from the hard lines to the rubber lines. The brake fluid is full.
When the car is off, you pump the pedal, it feels normal, you feel pressure. If you start the car, the pedal has no pressure, it feels like a dead pedal. If you pump the pedal a few times it feels like it starts to have pressure, but if you wait like 5 seconds, the pressure seems to be gone.
Anybody have any ideas what the problem is??? You help would be appreciated!

I did a similar swap on my '03 touring, but did not have any problem like that you described. Possible causes:
1- You said "we've bled the system twice, all the air is out of the line from all 4 bleeders." There should be eight bleeders, not four (two on each caliper). If you did not do this already, go bleed ALL the bleed points. Start with the inside bleed point, then go to the outside bleeder on each caliper.
2- You might have air in the master cylinder... Did you let the resivior go dry at any point during the bleeding process? If this is the case, I am not sure how to address it, but it will involved bleeding the whole system out (i.e., replacing all your brake fluid). Maybe someone else could help...
