Hi, I drive a 2003 base model Z, lately my handbrakes are not stopping the car at the slopes even after I tightened up the cable a couple times(both in the rear and the cockpit). I am just wondering if anyone of you have ever changed the parking brake shoe or have upgraded to a more powerful one? Also, where can I get the parking brake set? Any help would be highly appreciated. thanks

 

Take it to the dealership and tell them to fix it or replace it under warranty... that is, if you still have warranty

 

My '03 does the same thing but, only on fairly steep slopes. I don't rely on it to keep the car from rolling. Keep the car in gear.
