Instead of cutting along the entire circumference of the rear brake dust shields, I used a 1-3/4" hole saw to get some breathing room. Be sure to cover the parking brake stuff (the taped in-place paper towel), the metal shaving get everywhere.

Yeah, just cut the whole shield off.

 

Would that really help with cooling? It's the air flowing through the vanes of the interior of the rotor that cools them, right?
