Question

I agree with commyb. As soon as I finish cleaning, washing, and waxing my wheels, even a very short drive will produce so much dust that you'd never know the wheels were cleaned.

After reading the many posts on "brake dust", does anyone know WHY the OEM pads produce so much dust? I'm really curious.

I had my old Mustang for years and never saw any dust on the outside of the wheels. Is it just b/c the OEM pads are soft? Also, I notice that the driver's side front wheel is significantly dirtier than the passenger side front.
The brakes work fine, with no pulling, etc. Anyone have any ideas on why that is?

I'm replacing the OEM's with ceramics when the time comes.

Thanks,
Joe

You would want the ceramic pro series. here is the link.

Amazingly enough the pads for brembo brakes are way cheaper.

For Brembo (18" Wheels) here are the part numbers

PR961-C (Rear) $39.95
PR960-C (Front) $29.95
