I can't get rear rotors off, am I missing something other than a big hammer?

Default I can't get rear rotors off, am I missing something other than a big hammer?

Swapping the summer tires back on, finally... and decided to put some Mu B force pads and Racing Brake rotors on while I was swapping wheels. Fronts went on without a problem, but both of my rear rotors do not want to come off. I don't have the e-brake on either... I've tried moderate hits with a carpenters hammer and am about to run to the store to pick up something bigger. I haven't found much about some trick to get them off. Can anyone chime in and help me out? Otherwise i'll be taking a big hammer to it within the hour.

Thanks in advance.

agreed rubber mallet. The ones on my Z were real easy to get off but i did my wife's car 2 weeks ago and i had the same problem. We are in hawaii so the salt had pretty much rusted the rotor in place. If your car is a daily driver you could have the same problem from the snow. Either way, bang the sht out of it and it will break loose.
Off topic, wtf is up with the pats sending vinateiri to the colts?

Thanks for the help! I bought a 3lb nylon mallet and started hitting the rotors. And when that didn't work I got really pissed off and started taking full swings at the rotors with every ounce of evergy i had in a complete act of anger; that freed them up : )

I just wanted to make sure there wasn't some stupid pin or hidden screw that had to be undone before using more brute force and breaking something.

not a sports fan, sorry. i was in boston during the world series game winner for the sox, and i didn't know it till the riots started down the streets...

next time spray some liquid wrench around the center hub.Let it soak then try the hammer. I've seen rotors that had to be cut off with a torch.

if you have the ebrake engaged it makes it tough to get off.
