Default Need Brake Pads Help ASAP!!!

Hi guys,

I did a 2 day track event last weekend and used up my stock brake pads. I will do another 2 day track event this coming weekend and would need to buy a new set of brake pads.

Does anyone here have used Performance Friction brake pads? If so, how did it perform at the track? I searched through previous posts and didn't find anything on Performance Friction.

Any other recommendations as to what's the best brake pads to use at the track for a stock set-up?

I appreciate any input.

Thanks!

I also was at the race track this past weekend, I use a stage 2 stoptech brake kit w/ axxis pads. The pads were smoking. I was told their is no such thing of pads that are good for street & track.

If i were you invest in a full brake package if you plan to attend the track as often as you do.

Non-brembo, just standard brake system. I have an 06 Enthusiast.

I've checked a local store here in Northern VA (Curry's) and the only thing they have available for 06 is Hawk HPS. They're also researching if they can get Pagid for me.

I really need to get a new set of brake pads this week. I don't want to miss the event this weekend which was already paid for.

In long term you should give porterfield a call and have them customize a set of R4 for the non-brembo, they are great for track, even tho they have some "slop" which causes the pads to wobble inside the caliper, you can hear noises of the pad hitting the bracket when going through bumps. They are excellent track pads, but loud for street driving.

Last weekend's track event had come and gone! Bottom line, I was not able to get new brake pads because the shop ordered the wrong pads for the front.

I ended up running with my 50% stock brake pads at the track. I just drove the car easy.

I ordered a new set of Hawk HPS from Jason at Performance Nissan last Tuesday. I should receive it next week. Hopefully it fits! According to Jason, there's no after market pads available for the 06 yet except for the Hawk HPS.

I'm looking into doing a brake system upgrade in the future. I just need to get all my wedding expenses out of the way then I can focus on car mods.

you might wanna invest in a brake upgrade kit. It's cheaper than a BBK and will provide ample stopping power for your needs.
