Default Rotor Replacement

I'm looking to get my stock Performance Rotors (non-brembo) replaced with Cross-drilled ones (hopefully from brembo).

What's the OEM part number for the stock rotors so that i can check if there is a cross over number from brembo?

Any extra info anyone can give me would be appreciated as well.

you can't install oem brembo rotors with your stock caliper.
also oem brembo brake rotors are NOT made by brembo. its from one of Nissan's oem factory.

check out mynismo.com for upgrade rotor options for your stock brake.

i am going to install stock brembo (full 4 brake kits) sometime soon - i suppose to install those 2 weeks ago but keep delaying and i have upgrade rotor slotted/drilled rotors for stock brake will be on sale after i install my brembos. those 4 rotors have about 2.5k miles on them. if you're interested PM me and will let you know after i take those off.

thanks for the info, are there any other good brands that make x-drilled rotors for the 350z? from the site you showed me, StopTech seems to be one of them. Are there any other options?

Project Mu also makes replacement rotors as well as Racing Brake.

Yes, we recently had a member purchase replacement rotors from this website, their curved vanes which pump more air and keep the disc cooler. Their directional rotors, you need a Left & Right. Let us know if you have any questions.

We do offer other solutions aswell.

I just got off the phone and found out that Powerslot actually has an application for both Brembo and non-Brembo applications for the 350Z. I should be getting more details later today.

Looks like its time to add one more thing to my list of debts to pay off!

I had powerslots on my RSX and they seemed purty good. But I guess just as good as stoptech and other comparable brands. Personally, when I upgrade, I'm going to get the Stage 2 Stoptech kit...'bout $550, I think, for slotted rotors, hawk pads, ss lines and fluid...not bad at all.

I have Powerslots on my G35 with Hawk HPS pads. Much better grip especially in the wet. The slots seems to help disburse water off the rotors. I was told that Powerslot gets their rotor core from Brembo...don't know if that's true tho.

Planning to go with StopTechs BBK on the Z as soon as the OEM pads wear dowm.

Default TOO cheap?

Hey guys. Am I too cheap in asking if any of the rotors sold on Ebay are worth a poop? Or should I just step up to the plate and spend the $ on Stoptechs?

I am just on a BIG budget right now, and I REALLY need rotors and pads. I was thinking about just "turning" my stockers, but I have heard that "DRILLED ONLY" rotors do prevent fade! And it looks as though Stoptech is the only one that makes drilled only.

So how about a vote?
#1- Turn stock rotors and buy good pads
#2- Buy Stoptech rotors (or a high quality brand) and good pads
#3- SHOOT! The Ebay rotors are good AND cheap! Buy them and some good pads.
#4- Drink more beer and drive on bad brakes.

Christ! The car only has 25,000 miles on it! It's even under warranty!

im in the same boat..... i only have 20k miles, and my rears need replacements badly...

As a racer, I can tell you that drilled rotors DO NOT prevent fade. They do, however, act as cheese graders for your pads and act as stress risers on the rotor surface. DON"T waste your money.

Looking at your alternatives, #1 is the best option. Do some research and pick some good high-performance pads (I'd recommend Cobalt Friction's GT-Sport compound) to replace the OEM ones. Finally, realize that the OEM brakes may be borderline for your driving style and use. You may want to upgrade to used Brembos or some other BBK in the future...
