Default Brembo Caliper "Cover"?!

Just saw these on eBay - some fake brembo-style caliper covers sold for 40 bucks a pair.

Dude, that is total weak sauce, but hell, maybe I could mod those to fit on my Brembos to cover up that ghay **** gold Nissan picked. It would be cheaper than powder coating 'em and no real down time.

J/k on the second part btw, but I really do hate the gold, red or black would look so much nicer.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just paint the calipers and get a sticker, . But seriously, why would you want to spend money to make your brakes look like they are brembos. Just put the money towards actually getting brembos or something that will help the performance of the car.

There is nothing more embarassing than being busted with fake crap on your car like that. I would like one to hang on my office wall at work, but thats it.

I wonder if that is plastic. Could it even take the heat? That'd be hilarious if you saw someone's "brakes" melting, .

For that price I'm sure they are.

I have seen on a Pontiac GP a set of hubcap big brakes, they have the caliper and slotted/drilled rotor molded in. Very nice, shiny chrome plastic.

Not so sure I agree. Not everyone needs the braking capabilities of the brembo kit, and if you have rims with an open spoke pattern, the stock brake calipers are frickin fugly. Painting the cheap looking calibers that come with the car is also pretty ugly. I don't think people are "posing" if they buy this, just looking for an improved appearance. I'm considering them.

I just bought a package deal with those brake covers, some turbonators, an intercooler intake, an electronic blowoff valve, and some volk hubcaps. My car is totally tricked out for under $200!

There has always been a fine line between Dress-Up and Posing, these are definatly on the Posing Side.

Like I said they would be great office wall decorations, at least they won't melt there.
