Spring install help
I am installing H&R Sport Springs and Tokico D-Spec shocks since yesterday, I also did the SPC rear camber toe bolt at the same time. After removing the old spring from the rear bucket there is a rubber spacer in the bottom of the bucket should this be removed or stay in? I am asking this because I initially left it in, put in the H&R springs tightened everything up, put on the wheels and removed the jack stands and F***, the gap between the fender and tire was greater than when I started and the wheels looked like
\ /. I made sure everything was aligned when I placed the springs on the rubber spacers.
I ended up removing the rubber spacer and the spring is now resting on the aluminum bucket, I took the car for a spin granted only a couple of miles but there was no noise.
So should the rubber spacer in the bottom of the bucket be removed or stay in? If it should be in what could be causing the excessive wheel gap? Thanks.

Thanks for the response, I ended up taking everything apart, I aligned the bolts and removed the rubber spacer and the spring is now resting on the aluminum bucket so far no noise not sure if this is correct but it seems to work and the tires seem to be more l l. Next I need to get an alignment. Car looks good, glade I got the H&R's, I will get some pictures in a couple of days.

I added the bottom rubber pieces today took about an hour, checked and double checked everything to make sure they were in place. Looks ok I think it looks like it is at stock height about 2 finger gap between rear fender and tire.
Also the car looks like it slightly slants up front to back I hope the rear seats a little better after driving it.

whats the part number on the springs?
should be 53050 for the coupe....
53051 for the roadster, which would explain the rear being higher (in the case of the H&R Springs that is...)
