Master Cylinder?
According to the manual, there is one MC for non VDC, one for VDC. I don't think calipers have anything to do with it as VDC is available with non Brembos as well as Brembos.
If you can't get a firm pedal with the Brembos, you might not have bled them correctly, check out the Stoptech install pages. On the Z they recommend tilting the caliper forward to get the bleeder straight up and down while still keeping the pads on the rotor.
I thought I had all the air out, rubber mallet and all but not until I removed the top bolt and loosened the bottom one and pivoted it forward did I get the last bit of air (and it was quite a bit). One more round of bleeding with the calipers in the correct position and now they feel solid.

Ok. I will bleed them again to try. I wanted to do it anyways to change my liquid from motul 600 to the 5.1 that a friend in the racing business recommended. He actually even works for Motul. He says the 5.1 works a lot better for street use with occasional track use. He said that the 600 was overkill and acually decreased the pedal feel. Thanks boys.
