Default Mismatching brake pads front and rear

I have the non brembos and I'm thinking of gettin Endless Super Street Y pads. However endless only makes them for the front.
Will it be ok if I got SS-Y pads for the front only and then something else like SS-S for the rears? I really prefer the high initial response of the SS-Y pads.

so do the front brakes do most of the braking ? I often see front brake pads only or front bbk's only.

Yes most of the braking is done by the front wheels.

pads have a big affect on how braking is...if you get cheap pads you can tell the difference...higher quality pads don't fade and are less prone to premature wearing...but hey if your life is worth 20 bucks go for it

Use an IR gun to measure the temperature rise of the rotors under an extreme stop [multiple measurements for accuracy]...........graph and look at front rear ratios.

Ideally they should be close.

An interesting read is the detailed test done on Police cars showing the different temperature from just a dozen different pad brands. This correlates to pedal pressure and wear rates and stopping distance. Some brands fried the rotors compared to oem while not stopping better

I run different pads front/Rear for track days to help the fronts grab a little better - I like the results...Raybestos R41 (front) and R43 (rear).
