Brakes?
I have about 36k miles on my car now and I have not taken the car in to get the brakes checked out but they are sqealling alot now and i know the rotors need to be turned. My question is, how much will a shop charge(on average) for turning the rotors and installing new pads? I am tempted to just by brand new rotors and pads and attempt the install myself.. My rotors are getting rusty anyways, i wouldnt mind some nice rotors.
Worn rotors are not noisy. Check the thickness. Its possible that they cannot be turned. Remember that minimum thickness means after turning. If you do not have the tool to measure the rotors (micrometer), then trust a shop to measure them for you.
