well my Z is my daily driver so i drive it often...i dont take it to the track or anything but i def want good stopping breaks and am willing to spend a little more to get that...i tend to tailgate or follow to closely a lot so being able to stop quick is good for me lol

Nothing probably beats the oem pads for quick friction ramp up in cold weather ------ since you are in NY. Aftermarkets tend to give up cold for an added bit of hot performance.

I was told by a brake vendor that the hawks will be quieter and have less dust but that you would be giving up some braking performance over the OEM (Brembo/Nissan).

I actually just put the Endless Vita Nuova's on my 6mt Coupe this weekend, very quiet, and awesome initial bite. No fade has been seen, and I am pretty hard on my brakes.

My understanding is that they are mfg. by Brembo for Nissan.

Just as an FYI, if your brakes start squealing, and you think its brake dust, check them ASAP. My brakes did that for a week, 2 months later they instantly started GRINDING. When I replaced my pads, I noticed the most horrifying thing, the OEM inboard pads at every wheel have no wear indicators, only the outboard pads do! When I looked, the outboard pads were 1/2 inch ABOVE the wear indicator tab (about 5-8K mi left), the inside pads where down to the metal, which had dug a grove into the backside of the rotor. What I can tell you is I have done brake jobs on various other cars, and I have never done a brake job this easy in my life!!! All 4 wheels done in 40 minutes (slow-rollin).

On my 04 Brembo's the pads said ferodo on them. I currently use the Hawks pad everyone and their best friends use. Can't really tell the performance difference between these and stock except that it needs to warm up a little. There is a big difference in dust.
