Default Pics of S Techs and H Techs?

I am thinking about lowering my car. I searched a few times and couldn't find good pics of SETTLED 350Zs with S Techs and H Techs. I want to see both for comparison. I'm looking to eliminate wheel gap without making the car sit too low for driving conveniently. If you guys can, please post up some pics of both types of springs from different angles. Thanks in advance!

Also, I know a lot of people have mixed feelings on running stock struts with these. Let me know what your setup is and how it is. I'd like to get out cheaper and use the stock struts, but not if I'm going to have to replace them after a week.

Nice. Thanks! I found a pic of the S Techs on the Tein website. Doesn't look too low. I have 19s, so I may sit a tad higher.

I am also running 19's with a Veilside V1 lip kit, It is just high enough to clear most speed bumps and get me through some bad NC roads. Anything lower I would not really recommend, I find it hard sometimes to clear some places with slopes or inclines w/o scrapping a little bit. Also take into consideration after the install it will sag more over time. My Z sits very close to what is pictured above.

Yeah, that's why I'm thinking H Tech. They advertise that you can use the stock struts and they'll sag some. I had eibachs on my old car and they sag REALLY bad. The 1.3" drop ended up being like 2"+.

I combined mine with the revised 2006 struts and shocks and it was like night and day. Ride quality improved greatly. Still I felt that it was not quite stiff enough. I recently sold the suspension and will be pairing up the H-TECH's with NISMO S-Tune shocks and struts. I think this will make a perfect combination of performance and comfort.

Here are a couple of pictures of my Z with Tein S on stock rims/tires. I have spacers just so you know (20mm in front & 25mm in rear).

Hmmmm... still hard to decide. Not much difference. I'll probably get S Techs. I'm thinking since they have higher spring rates, they won't sag as much over time.

BTW, with the Tein S, I'm still using my stock shocks. It's a mild drop with the Tein S -- about 3/4" all the way around. It's dropped but not too low that you're scraping all the time. I've driven my Z to HPDE & autocross with no issues on the suspension.

^ i always thought that running spacers and racing would be kind of dangerous since the tire isnt directly connected to the car's axle...not shure if thats what you would call it. How many miles have u been on spacers, and do u have any rear shots of your car??

imo, spacers are fine as long as you keep a check on your lugs. After installing spacers, you need to retorque them after about 50 miles. They'll need it.

I've pretty much decided on the S Techs. 3/4" on stock shocks/struts is about what I need. Thanks for all the help!

The rims/tires are most certainly attached to the axles the same way as any other rims/tires without spacers. They're still bolted on. The kit came with longer bolts to accomodate the spacers. There are many members here who use spacers and take their Zs to the track and never have any issues with spacers. I've taken mine to the track & auto-x and have no issues either.

I think you need to see the side by side to get a good idea about the drop. The top picture is stock springs, the lower on S-tech springs.
