Default Eibach Pro Kit installed (pic)

large high quality pic here, click

My buddy Brandon stayed up till 130am last night to finish it (props to him once again)

He will do others locally for $250.00!

No squeeks no rattle no scraping.

Took a corner at 75mph (sign said 35mph) no under steer at *all* it's gone there was no jitter, no hop just a clean turn that came stright out. Bounce is gone.

Bottom line, this is how the car *should* have drove when I bought it (looks aside of course!)

Max, just to verify, you put in the Eibachs with the stock shocks/struts? Just want to make sure that was the only chage.

Also, what size rims are those?

Looks nice and neat. How much would you say they lowered the car?

The Eibachs are supposed to do .8" rear and 1.2" front...

I am almost ready to buy them.

Yes, just the springs for now and the rims are 18's on 40's it seems to be enough for now.

Motor Trend stated that the Z had a "slight" understear, I say it was more than "slight" and the ride was bouncy and jittery at high speed cornerings.

I want it known that this kit alone ($220.00 shipped from Todd at DTD) fixed all of that and the ride is straight slammed!

Thanks!

P.S. I will have better pics after I get a day off to wash my baby (mor Cyrstal Guard)

any angle anyone wants in particular let me know. In this shot the front tire is turned slightly, when it is straight there is *no* fender gap .

Let me just say that I am in total agreement with this. I just got these installed last night and drove 120 miles on them today. Holy f*#k, what a difference. This is what this car should feel like. Coilovers seem a bit too much for me (daily driver, no autocross). Let's see what happens when someone comes out with 350Z specific struts to replace to stock ones. SWEET. Get these damn springs and I promise you be glad you did...

Eibach will be releasing them in about 2 months per DTD.
Part of thier Pro line.

Good combo but I am in no hurry for now, it's just RIGHT!

Peas!

Thanks MaxHax! Seems like a good value to fix the bounce.

Thanks Max! Much appreciated.

Thats great, I am trying to visualize the drop vs the rims/tires. I want to keep my stock 18"s, so the drop would look similar to yours (gap wise). This helps a lot.

I am a little scared of the drop, not really looking to drop the car. But that looks VERY good on yours, so I am happy.

I will get the springs now and will be a good candidate to get the pro-damper later as well.

I think the $220 (more or less) is peanuts compared to the other crap we spend on cars. Sad that Nissan can't find $200 in the $35K I paid to put better springs on it. (and it would NOT cost them $200 anyway if they manufacture and bulk!)

I agree 100%! Great (and needed mod) that could have been prevented but hindsite is always 20/20, I always expect to do a few mods. This was a good one.

I concur with these impressions. Got mine installed on Thursday, and the car feels rock-solid.

Default question about the ride

MAx,

I curious about the ride. As we all know the stock springs make the ride pretty bouncy. Especially on those highways frequented heavily by Semis.

How do the Eibach springs take bumpy roads? And when you say no bumpiness or jitters is that only in cornering or general driving?

Thanks
J

When driving down a flat road there isn't any bounce or jitter, it's like butter.

when cornering it is tighter and more precice and when you come out of the corner there isn't any correction needed it's as it should be, you continue along the path without need for correction. Before I had to make corrections and I had got used to that but it's not something that I wanted to get used to.

That's about as good as I can put it, plus the looks are off the hook!

And yes Todd I haven't heard anyone say anything bad or observed anyone beat your price so props to you too.

Thanks for the review MaxHax.

I know it's early, but do you or anyone else that has the Eibach springs installed knows it will fix the tire feathering problem?

Right now I just have two problems that I would like to get it fixed if it's springs related. One is bouncy ride, and other is tire feathering. Looks like the Eibach springs will fix the bouncy rides...

Thanks!

Daytona, the pic near your call-out... is that Tod Kaneko's 240Z?

Tod is a personal friend of mine- I'd know that car anywhere! It's even nicer in person!!

Per the installer if it happens at all it will be in the rear, I don't even need an alignment (from what I could tell) but he said the rear was "a little off" but nothing to worry about and the front "was perfect."

Too soon to call as you say but I will keep you posted on this topic of concern.

Default Eibach drop

MaxHax, My findings exactly. I couldn't be happier and I have had mine on for a couple of weeks (1,800 miles) and they have settled all they are going to settle (very slight from install date to today) and I really like the looks as well.
Slaponte, You have the drop backwards. It is .8 front and 1.2 rear. Regards, Jim
