I just got an email with a tracking #, so I don't know any of the details about why this happened or how many people may be affected. Hopefully they or a vendor will be able to elaborate, but I'm sure it's difficult since many peeps out there probably won't report a problem since they never took before and after measurements.

ok guys i also just purchased the tvs kit two days ago and might want to hold off on putting them on after seeing this thread. Also one questions for everyone that is putting these springs on their cars, are you guys using stock shocks or aftermarket? I have a 06 also and figured i might as well reuse the stock ones since they only have 760 miles on them. Thanks

hmm...I ordered my kit from intesnse back at the end of december/early january and still haven't gotten it because of a delay at hotchkis. I'm wondering if this was the problem. Hopefully it was and I get the right stuff.

I got my TVS1 Kit yesterday (from Intense - thanks Darren). I took out all the parts to check them out. The front springs are slightly smaller in diameter than the rear springs. Question for the OP - were your springs the same size or were 2 or them smaller than the other 2 ?

The fronts are supposed to be smaller. Best thing to do would be to write down the number on the larger spring (rear) and call it in to Hotchkis to check. Oh yeah, Darren is aware of the issue and I doubt they would send out the recalled springs.
I'm finally going to be able to install my replacements tomorrow!
What do I do with the old ones?

Hello,
All of the kits we sent out last week (which filled all orders from mid-December to 1/30/7) were good. I.E. -- If you were one of the recipients, put your concers/worries to bed. Mark assured me of such.
If you received springs, and/or TVS-1 prior to this shipment, have an '06, and have concerns, please PM me. On the outside of the Hotchkis box, there is a production date. Please provide me with said date, and I will relay it to Mark.
I want to take the time here, now, to say thanks to all whom have endured the horrendous back order, and of course those that are dealing with, and have dealt with the defective rears.
Darren.

Put my springs on last weekend and immediately noticed a big improvement in the ride. The springs I had in were very bouncy...now the car feels planted and the suspension movements properly dampened and controlled.
When I first put them in, the drop was at 5mm, then after driving over some speed bumps and rough roads for MOL 45 miles, they seem to have settled at 14mm lower than stock. Can I expect them to settle further to the final Hotchkis spec'd 19mm or is this par for the course?

Update
Spoke with Erin (engineer) at Hotchkis: He recommended loosening the two bolts for the lower control arm, driving around a little and pushing down the rear of the car before re-torquing them while on ramps this time. I might be experiencing a little bushing bind.

I got some bad springs too.
I had the install done about 2 to 3 months ago and was really dissapionted with the drop. I waited to see if they would settle down with no luck so I emailed hotchkis yesterday with some photos. The next day on the phone (today) Hotchkis agreed to overnight me a new set of rears. I asked for them to reimburse me for instal and got a no, but all in all was pretty happy about the quick solution and shipping. Here are some pics

My weekend is so full, I don't think I'm going to have to time to try what they suggested with unbinding the LCA bushings.

This is all I've got for now–showing the height difference of the two springs side by side. On the car, it was immediately noticeable, but I'm going to check the bushings as I was advised to see if I can get the full 19mm, then take some final "after" shots on the 17s before I swap out to my new 18s (which I haven't put tires on yet).

I just got my Hotchkis springs in the mail today, and the install is scheduled for Wednesday. I will take some before/after photos.
350zenophile -- does the drop on your car look anything like the redline Z that Hotchkis shows on their website?
I hate to be a skeptic, but somehow I doubt that my 2006 on Hotchkis is going to look as low and aggressive as the pre-2006 in that photo. I feel as though I am setting myself up for disappointment and money wasted, but I guess that all remains to be seen.
That bushing theory is interesting / scary. So they recommended that you drive around with the bolts loosened to correct the bushings? Then I wasn't sure what you meant about pushing the rear of the car down while having it on ramps....can you expand on that thought? Thanks!
