with TIEN springs i would expect garbage ride quality...
but with the TEIN -H-techs (minimum drop) it will be nice, and not that much difference from stock... if you go with S-techs it will be lowered more aggressive and you will probably have -1.X on your cambers even after alignment i.e you will need this http://www.intensepower.com/inreadcaar35.html

I have Tein S springs and it only gives you a subtle drop -- 1/2"-3/4". Very nice, aggressive stance. I did not need an alignment and you certainly don't need aftermarket camber arms. Click on my sig to see what my Z looks like with the Tein S springs.

i am sure if you take it for alignament you will ahve some negativity there(in some its more visible than others and depends on wheels and offsets too)...
he does not have to do the alignament rigth away, and if he is better to get the camber kit before. In any case that camber kit have great pricing...like 150-200 cheaper than the competition

I agree, that's a great price for those rear camber arms.

that barely looks like any drop at all.

My ultimate goal is a small drop with 19 inch g35 sport wheels with spacers to push them out flush.

so i guess any opinions and suggestions would be appricated.
thanks

I've always been told that you should always get an alignment after removing and replacing the suspension. My problem is that I don't trust the guy that's gonna test drive my car to make sure it drives right. I'm probably gonna insist on a ride-along.

I went with the Tein S.Techs for a slight drop. The ride is not too rigid but it's very firm. I did get an alignment when I had the springs installed.

Edit: Here's stock for comparison purposes. (Worse camera)

I installed some s-techs, the drop was maybe .7~.8" in front, not quite as much in back but I am running 275/35R18 F 275/40R18 R so the gap is now about equal front to rear with the whole car at a bit of a rake. I would say the car looks lower than it was, but it does not look lowered. Actually looks natural, like the factory should have done it to begin with.

I also installed some Tokico D-spec shocks at the same time so I can't say what it would be like with just springs. With the shocks set to 4 from full stiff, the ride is stiffer, muted and quite livable. I am happy with the results and my wife says it is still acceptable for long trips.

Your car is a 03, while almost every spring on the market was R&D with your shocks in mind, however you'll get a far bigger payoff is you also kick the oem shocks to the curb, as in replacing them with Tokico D-specs or Koni Sports. That being said, remembering back to the earlier day's when 03 and 04 owner's would do post's about Tein springs, most were postive. Though no one ever really side any spring cured the bounce and porposing issues altogether. No Tein spring for the Z should have a suffecient drop amount as to cause the car to be out of oem alignment specs, historically that happen's at .8" drops and greater and then it varies to a degree.

I had OEM struts and s-tech springs, the ride was OK. Not too bad, but not the greatest. I had an alignment and they were able to come really close to stock specs. This is a sports car and should have some negative camber. Overall I did not regret buying springs. Well worth the money for the 2 years I used them.

Yes, the springs are slightly stiffer than stock, and lower your center of gravity

I'm kind of in the same boat as maddog. I was looking to go with some 19" volk GT-7. Also i was looking to drop the car no more than an inch. I was looking into an aftermarket spring that would simply lower the car and still try to keep the ride of the Z as close to feeling stock as possible. Would you guys recommend another spring besides the S-Techs?

Remember everyone, 2003 and 2004 350Z's have different shocks then 04.5+ car's have. Your experience as in ride and drive will not be the same as someone who's car has a different oem shock setup.

S-Tech is an excellent spring for a subtle drop. I've had mine for almost 2 years. Still riding on OEM shocks, and everything is fine, but then again I don't drive the car but once a week.

Rule of thumb: always get an alignment when you've done any kind of suspension work..

I understand that different shocks per models will giv eyou different riding experience. BUt I figured that the OEM shocks on ANY Z should be decent... it is a sports car.

And for the alignement. I was todl to wait a little while for the springs to settle before you get the alignment. Makes sense to me.

thanks everyoen for the all the comments, I appriciate the input.
