Default OPINION on 13'' STOPTECH ROTORS

WHat do you guys think, will 13'' (332mm) rotors on the ST-40 kit look too small when it comes to fitting them w/ a thin spoke 19'' rim like the SSR GT3?

Thanks in advance

The bigger the better but I think that the 13" should suffice. 14" rotors are HUGE though.

I'd also like to know what others think about them. I was thinking of getting some in the coming months since they fit behind stock 17's. Would they hold up at the track, say 2 -3 times a year?

I'm sure they would have no problem considering the stock brembos are decent for track use. You won't have brake fading issues.

I think the 13" rotors will look great... I have the 14" with 19" wheels and those rotors look HUGE! I was eating at Fuddruckers once and a few guys were around my car looking at the rotors. Even the grid marshall at the race track was like "Dude those are the biggest rotors I've ever seen!" In fact, sometimes I wish I had gotten the 13" instead, just for the slightly lower rotational weight!

One more thing, 14" will not fit under 17" wheels, in case you ever want those (for the track).

Factory rotors are 11.7? Mine actually look quite a bit smaller--could being a 2003 have anything to do w/ it? (non-brembo).

Thanks for the feedback guys

13's are nice. Have you concidered AP Racing? They're very similar in quality and some might even venture to say AP racing is better for track and street use. AP racing is also more competitively priced. The 13's are perfect because they'll perform on the track, and street depending on pad used, have low rotational weight, and replacement rotors are significantly cheaper.

They did increase the non-brembo rotor size sometime around 2005 or 2006 I think. The stock rotors were puny.

My relacement stock rotors in the box sitting next to me measure just over 11 inches. I measured with a piece of paper(8x11) so 11.7 seems plausible.
