I'm still debating between TEIN flex coilover and Nismo S-tune.

I searched forum and it seems that both are getting good reviews. But things I don't like about S-tune is that it's not height-adjustable and Tein does not really improve the overall handling.

What would be better on track and street?(I already read raceboy's review on S-tune) I need some serious inputs here!!

 

How is the S-Tune a coilover if it isn't height ajustable? isn't that the point to throwing down more bread for coilovers?

btw - i was planning on getting the Nismo coilovers, but i haven't done any serious research about them. If they aren't truly height ajustable, i'll be getting something else, probably teins.

 

who said the TEIN's dont improve handling?

i think it does. totally. if you were to track get the JICs.

street, im sure eibachs are plently good for the economic reasons, and the HKS/TEIN/Stune would be fine on both street and track.

im happy with my choice (TEIN), but i would liked to have seen the HKS in person...

 

I had TEIN and now HKS on mine. I liek the HKS better improvment on handeling is about the same but the HKS rids of that bumpy feel! As for the S tune they handle good still bumpy and still no hieght adjustability...

JIC is the hot track set up I think. I went with the HKS for every day driving, and easy ready to go out of the box set up.

 

What is the difference from the LS?

 

I would strongly recommend Nismo S-tune. It drops front and rear by 1 inch, and with 19' rims, I think it is the perfect drop setup unless you are trying to go for the Car show or something. It is on the top of my "future mod wish list"... Now all I need is $$$$!!!
By the way, nice signature... Seems like few people in this forum can actually read those big letters...

The II is 30 way dampening adjustable, better build quality, and it is geared for track use. I think the LS's springs are 7k and the II's are 9k (pretty STIFF)....

The II's beat out 3-4 other coilovers (including Tein Flex) in an Options magazine test. I have heard great things about the II, although they are a little pricey, about the same as the JIC or Tein's.

I would like to get my hand's on a set.... Does anyone have a pic of the II's? Or, any more info?

The TEIN Flex will also allow the height of the car to be change without effecting the pre-load of the spring as the bottom leg of the strut is adjustable. Unlike the HKS unit, the height is controlled by the adjustable sppring seat.
