I was searching around the forum and came across a thread in the suspension section and the guy was asking about springs that drop at a rate of at least 1.75. Some of the replys I saw was Eibach Sporline springs. The application says they only drop 1.2. How low do they actually drop the car?

I get confused about this too. Eibach claims 1.2" and I've read that only "good" quality springs do not settle, yet most everyone with Eibach's claim that they settle a bood 0.25-.05" after a few hundred miles. I've also read that it is not the spring that settles but the rubber bump stop. IF it is the bump stop (vs. spring) that compressess after time, then why don't other springs settle like the Eibachs?

Also remember that Eibach makes two different sets of springs for the Z - the Eibach Sportlines and the Eibach Pro-Kit (I believe). If I remember correctly the Sportlines advertise something around 2" drop in he rear, and the pro-kit advertises 1.2" drop rear. Check Eibach's website, their info would be the most accurate.
