I have an 06 base and just out of curiosity can I, and if i can, how much would I have to pay for some used track/GT Brembo brakes? I dont wana shell out 2 grand for a Brembo GT or Stoptech 4 pot kit and I figured I could get a used set of OEM brembos from someone who has put a BBK on and has their OEM's laying around. Or are the track/GT Brembo's any better than my 06' Base brakes? Havent heard about anyone doing this, was gonna give it a shot
, thanks in advance

The brembos are 10x better than stock brakes that came on the base, enth., performance, and touring. They response quicker and stops quicker as well. Your'e going from a single piston setup to four piston front and duel piston rear and using larger calipers and rotors in all four corners.
I just made the swap less than a month ago and I love it. There is no way possible you can get the stoptech front and rear for less than the brembos...not even used (I saw a used stoptech set went for 3.7k!)

I did search, couldnt find anything. Apparently im impaired. thanks for the info though. would lines, fluid, more aggressive pads and slotted rotors improve the overall braking on base brakes to the point that the overall stoping power would be comparable to OEM Brembos?

I've only used my brakes to the point of fading a couple times on streets. I'll see what happens on a race track in a couple of weekends. Then June 1-3 I'll be at Deal's Gap again, one of the places I got my brakes to fade.

DAMN lol didnt know that could happen to your brakes. That was on a track with lots of high speed straights comin into slow speed corners. I just need some more bite and less fade for my "track" but I never get over 80 on the gap so I dont get going fast enough to melt pads to the pistons lol.
I know the 2006 OE brakes for base/entu/touring got larger than the previous years, but I don't know if the Brembos got larger for 2006? Can anyone confirm? Also, if you upgrade to Brembos are bigger rotors required?
