Default AP Racing and Workmeister Question

After my little incident of my brakes failing, I have decided to go with the AP Racing BBK. My question is if the 14.25 inch rotor and the caliper will fit with the workmeister 19x9.5 +24. It's a 19 inch wheel, but the face of the wheel is like 16". Sorry for the NEWB question, but I searched and found nothing.

Thanks,

Derek

how did your brakes fail? I am looking at those wheels myself. Your car was at Sharif's for the dyno day wasn't it?

I know you're looking at AP Racing, but just fyi -- there's a group buy on Rotora's that's closing off this week -- maybe the price will make it worth your while to consider it: https://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=262797

If the overall inner diameter of the Works are the same as other 19"s then it should be fine. I have the same brakes, and inside my Volk GT-Cs there's some extra room, but with 18's it barely clears.

I would suggest getting a caliper spec chart from AP and sending it to an Authorized Work dealer to see if it will clear with your offset and disk as the disk also plays a huge roll in BBK clearance.

Well I guess saying the Brakes failed is misleading. There was air some how in my system and the pedal went to the floor. Yeah I was there, I was parked beside Sharif in the garage.

Rick, I had AP Racing fax me a template yesterday so I'm gonna mock that up and see how it does.

Thanks for the replies.

If they don't fit you can always trade me for my Time Attack CE28's...they will clear.

Haha, no offense, but I would rather find a different brake kit to fit than get rid of my works...I love them.

DJ Smitty, what disk are your front wheels? That is the key to know if they will fit.

Rotoras are nowhere near the quality of AP. Greddy/Megan/Rotora are all the same exact brakes with different logos. None are really tested on our cars.

You're running the standard +24, +23?

They are the +24 +23 offsets. I got them from Rick at Status, they had been on his car.
