Default break bleeder screws leaking

Hey guys I have been having a soft peddle lately and cant engage the ABS its so bad. I have bled the system 2 times now and just noticed that the front right brake bleeder screw is leaking at the threads. What do I have to do to fix this? I have it tight and it still leaks.

You should replace the bleeder screw with a new one asap and check to see if any of the others are leaking as well.

Holy crap, I'm glad I just saw this thread bc I upgraded to hawk hps and powerslots and I was just stoppin' on a dime, but all of a sudden I have a mushy peddle and it feels like I'm getting bad brake fade...I'll check mine bleeder screw.

So you're telling my advice of replacing the bleeder screw with a new one from the dealer isn't good advice? The screw isn't that expensive.

Sounds like some outstanding advice to me!

If that is to much though im sure you could go buy some teflon tape and pull the screw wrap it with the tape and re-tighten it !?!?!

I'm having the same issue with at least one bleeder - leaking fron the thread area. Plus the others leak (from the actual bleed hole) after I tighten them down. This is on my rebuilt Brembo calipers...

I'd think the teflon tape might be a good band-aid, but the heat from braking seems like it would burn off the tape in no time. I have no idea what to do with the calipers now...
