Default Rotors

Looking for a front pair of rotors that are rust resistant. I'm not into painting them so that's not an option.

Any specific companys to look for?

I got the EBC slotted rotors (the silver ones in the picture). I like them, and I dont see any rust.

Sometimes rust is not actually from the rotors themselves, but rusting metal dust from the brakes themselves . . .

Normal rotors themselves will always rust at least a little bit... the ones that can resist rust for a while and on the areas where there is no friction -i.e. there is no contact with the brake pad- are the zinc coated ones. I understand that most brands offer zinc coats at an extra charge.

Also, you can go all out with carbon fiber rotors which will never rust, but those must be like 5 grand a set and I do not really know if they are made for the Z yet.

Your best bet might be to get two piece rotors, with an aluminum hat that will never rust and zinc coated rotors that will resist rust for a while and look better.

Good luck!
C.

Good rotors should rust. Painting them so they don't rust in the non-contact areas isn't a problem.
