Default Tein Drift Master COilovers

Parts installed:

Tein Inner Tie Rod
Tein Outer Tie Rod
Tein Drift Master Coilovers
Tein EDFC
Cusco Upper A-arm
JIC Strut Bar
GT-Spec Rear Lower Tie Bar
Nismo Sway Bar
Nismo Hard Bushings (Rear Strut)
Energy Suspension Tie Rod Boots (Poly)

Parts on order:
SPC Rear camber arms
SPC Rear Toe Bolts

Well as you can see I don’t really play around when it comes to suspension. I am actually in the process of doing a write up for the installation of all these suspension components along with the SPC rear camber arms that are on order. The manual will be complete, and easily understandable for the novice or weekend mechanic that would like thorough instructions on how to install aftermarket suspension components. After the installation I basically let the car sit for about 1 week because the Nismo bushings were a bit hard to install without a press to press the old ones out, so I just did it slowly after work everyday.

Anyway…it’s a bit tough for me to write a review, because the suspension has not been tuned yet, but as soon as I got in the car and touched the steering wheel, I could feel that is was a lot tighter which is a good thing, and that the coilovers made the car a lot smoother than stock, and of course I have the pillow ball mounts, but it’s still smoother, and quieter than stock too…there were no rattles, squeaks, or. Here are some teaser pics, but once my manual is done, I will send it to people via E-mail so that it can be used.

Thank you

Potter

I never heard of the Drift Masters. Are they the same as the Super Drifts? What are the spring rates?

true dat....I recommendt doing the suspension first, because those bolts can really be a pain if they are left there for years....luckily mine were ok because it's always indoors, but one of them came out with the entire bushing still attached to it....

to be honest....the way I install things I like to use new bolts, and grease along with W40 and PB Blaster....so everything is EXTREMELY quiet. The Cusco A-Arms are off the hook, and they look nice to....the adjustability is so easy... Thi is the way I believe in doing suspension (COMPLETELY)

it takes about 8-10 hours to install all these components. but I have a compressor and power tools so it might take longer for those who don't....big investment....I recommend a 25 gallon compressor from Sears...they have them along with a starter kit for about $275 (it comes with a air gun and rachet)

Same spring rates as the Tein Flex IIRC. New Mono Flex is 14k/14k, Id assume the shocks on these are stiffer, do you know what seperates these from the other Tein coilovers?

yeah....they are modified HE dampers, and they seem thicker than regular Tein Shocks, but from what I understand it's just Specified damping force and spring rate set up for drifting. they feel SICK as hell...I've been is Z's that have Tein suspension, but these Drift Coilovers feel way better than those.

I havn't tuned the suspension yet, and I'm still just letting everything settle in, but when I do get some seat time in the car during tuning...I'll let you know how it is for sure, because it's going to be a whole new world for mesince I was drifting on stock suspension.

Thanks for all the compliments through PM guys...I will be sure to get the manual out next week...I just want to proof read, and take pictures of the corner balance precess, and the Alignment...for finishing touches....I believe it came out to about 14 pages....but it includes alot of things that you could easily miss because they just assumed it wasn't important.
