Default Help!!! Eibach Pro-kit Makes My Z Higher Than Stock

I just installed eibach pro-kit on the Z with stock shocks. Now it looked higher than stock. WTF? The rear looked about the same but front is definitely higher than stock (about 1 inch higher).

I drove the car around for like 30 minitues to see if it settled in but still same height.

Anyone has same problem?

Eibach's are lowww... So I don't know. Believe it or not, a member on G35Driver put on Eibach's and the same thing happened to him...Eibach had somehow turned into stock springs?

i was hoping that it will settle in 1 or 2 days. Factory defect springs? Make me sick to the stomach.

Wrong springs or installation error imo. No way you will be higher if the correct parts were installed correctly.

how could it be installation error? Very straight forward.
I wonder if the mechanic has to compress the spring more?

Eibachs I have installed in the past (not on 350Z's btw) never settled more than a 1/4" or so. So I dunno.

What year is your car? There were some issues with Hotchkis springs on 06's where Hotchkis screwed up a batch.

you have them on upside down... that, or you got the JDM versions...they raise the USDM cars since everything in japan is opposite...

I don't think the rear is up side down since there's a piece of plastic from the spring sitting on the bottom. THe front I dont know. The rear looks like stock height but the front is definitely higher.

Do you think having the spring up side down cause it to raise?

dude, i was totally joking... sorry, i didn't know anyone would take that seriously... truly, i don't think they can go in upside down as there is a groove that the ends of the springs must sit in... do you have any twisties around? that's the best way to settle them...a few good hard miles of sharp curves...

+1 on install error or wrong part

they have to in a certain way. The control arms will be "grooved" for the coils.

edit: I have the same kit, I drag the **** out of the bottom of my car now. And yeah it will settle but takes some time. I put my kit on this past April, for about the last month is when I started dragging A LOT more if I'm not careful.

I have them on my car...it's pretty darn low. Sounds like install error to me too.

anyone here compare the length of the springs before installation? My mechanic said Eibach ones are longer than stocks. WTF.
I don't think it's the wrong installation. The guy has been mech for over 10 year and i just had him do another eibach pro-kit on s2000 and it drops right.

I think most likely it's the wrong part. F!ck. How's that possible?
