I only got 12K, i was not happy, I put hawk pads and they have lasted very long time. I think you mikght want to ungrade to a BBK. I changed my calipers to F1 4 Post and I cant complain. Common for the power the Z has and to give us those stock 2 post front brakes that is not cool. I have better stopping power and I also replaced my lines to steel and slotted & drilled rotters, So i would take the hit and just do it right the first time.

As was said, it depends entirely on your driving. Take my example.

I had brake inspection done on Friday before a HPDE School. The pads were at 80%. 6x20 minute track sessions and I went home on squealers. Yes, the pads were worn completely.

30K and have about 40% left on the pads (just did the very expensive 30K service/inspection and the "Inspection Form" filled in by the dealer indicates this). My driving style is down-shifting, so I probably put less wear on the pads. So, it does come back to what other people mention on your thread: Brake pad wear depends upon your driving habits.

Sarcastic though it might have been. Life is too short to be serious all the time.

Yes, I hated those stock brake pads and the $60 I paid to replace them was probably one of the best mods I've made.

Just having fun ....

i replaced all those stock pads at 16K because the dust was unbearable and it started to squeal a little bit at the light. i could re-use the stock rear pads though.

I have 42k on my stock pads and I measured the front pads and they still have 7mm left. OEM's dust and squeal sucks though.

Now in the same vein. What kind of life are you guys getting out of those hawk pads? I was considering switching to those but was curious if they lasted about the same life span some regular pads did in normal city driving.

The Brake forum (https://my350z.com/forum/brakes-and-suspension-399/) is full of "how long" threads. Let's not start another one.
