This isn't going to be popular for most guys, but how about a more track dedicated set? No bling, just a flat black caliper with your logo in some contrast color. The flat black would resist the color change that plagues the other calipers from heavy use, and scream "track ****" instead of "show car". I figure since the racing Brembos and AP Racing calipers are flat black or dark matte grey, it would look good with red lettering. I guess I'm just pushing to go the other way from looking good to a more track oriented "special edition."

I have seen the red calipers fade in color, just as the silver calipers turn gold/bronze, and the Brembo's turn brown. It's just a result of high temps. A matte grey or black would resist the color change better, and I think look more purpose-oriented than just a new flashy color. Check the attachment for a better idea of what I'm suggesting.

That would definitely make it limited edition.

Well DBA rotors had color indicators that activate based on temperature so I am sure the same"technology" could be applied here...but i'd be worried if my brakes got stuck in a color that I didn't like...like purple

Damn, I wish AP would sell those brakes for a Z/G.

You dropped an LS6 in your Z?!?!? Nice!

I've always liked the looks of the 350Z better. That said, my Z06 is actually quite a bit lighter than my 350 was...and it handles a lot better too...can use wider tires, etc., etc. (ducks and runs..) It also has giant panel gaps, it's made of plastic, and the interior is identical to a Cavalier. Also, people always say to me, "I never thought you were a Corvette guy!"
Ah well, I like them both.

How about a super lightweight billet aluminum six piston caliper, similar to what an ALMS car would run...with matte black finish and laser-etched StopTech logo?

Black chrome would be cool...but I imagine it would be very tough to paint consistently, and have it hold up under high heat...same goes for that crazy chamillionaire paint.

how about a two colored caliper like a black and red...half of each color and then the company name colors split as well...like the caliper black and red and the "stop" in red...and the "tech" in black to contrast the background color.

and for performance...def make it top of the line stuff only!

Now you're on to something "special". And why you're at it, make the caliper water-cooled like the GT500 cars, with a recirculating valve. Yeah, I'd pay up to a $50.00 premium for that, LOL!!

To StopTech..

As a StopTech BBK owner, I'd say just spend your resources making the best possible brake kit at the best price. Don't be tempted by the blingy diversions, don't forget why the company was started (i know it was purchased in the last year or so).

well you said "Limited Edition" not "Easy Edition"

+1 on the super light weight calipers. how about adding some brake ducting along with your kits?
