Default Any brake pad comparisons?

I have toasted my rear brakes in under 5K miles due to being on the track and autocrossing. Does anyone know of a link to any brake pad comparisons? I would like to get some longer lasting pads that are not too aggressive with rotor wear. I would like to see if any brake companies or other retailers have run any comparison tests on different pads. Any help appreciated.

Default pads

I've used HP Plus on my BMW but with my Z I am using Panther XP's on the fronts and Panther + on the rears. Thes pads give me more stopping power and less wear on the rotors. Very happy with their performance so far at the track.

What is the advantage of running different types front and rear?

I am also running the Panther XP's in front and the Panther +'s in rear.

You use the different pads due to fact that the rears don't get used as much so a lesser pad will do, BUT the Z seems to be more rear biased than anticipated and although my XP's fared great I got some wear on the +'s on back.

For the street I am trying the Bobcats also from Carbotech, I have not noticed any braking improvement but there is definetly a reduction in dust. Normally with the OEM pads after a day the wheels already looked like **** but with the bobcats I have driven a few days and a couple hundred miles and very minimal dust.

Well, my rears are the ones that wore out the fastest. I think I should have the stronger pads on the rear since they are such small pads.

Default Panther Pads

Are you able to run the panther pads on the street? Or just using them for race track?

How are the rotors wearing with these pads?

Thanks,
Ja

I am using the Panthers just for the track, they would be too noisy for the street.

They are aggressive on the rotor but not too bad, wear has been even.

I suspect the rears might be wearing due to the electronic brake force distribution on this car.

Anyone find aftermarket pads for the rears. Everyone I have asked says they only carry pads for the fronts for the stock brakes.
