Did you peal off the rubber and plastic isolation wraps off the oem springs and transfer them to the Tokico springs?

I re-used the rubber pad but not the plastic.. It didn't seem to want to come off the stockers..

is it needed? My noise sounds too noisy to be fixed by a little bit of plastic.

Is some noise normal until they settle? Or should they be OEM quiet from the get go?

Noise in not normal. I had the same springs on my car as a test with Koni shocks. I removed all the sleaves on the oem springs, even the one's that were glued on with rubber cement. You'll want to look at the Tokico spring design to figure out where they are going to bind, that's where you want to pieces placed.

It is possible that you have noise originating somewhere other then the springs themselves. In the process of pulling the springs off to install the plastic sleaves, adress all nuts and bolts on reinstall as a way of rulling them all out.

Appreciate the reply.. We actually got it sorted yesterday.. The Bolt on top of the strut was not tightened under load.. So once the car was put back on the ground it was actually loose. Cranked her good and no everything is rock solid.

Car feels and looks great. Will post some pics.

Thanks

Glad you got it figured out. I've had the same thing happen to me, though it didn't manifest itself for a few hundred miles.

No you can order them separate.. I can't for the life of me remember where i got them though. They've been sitting in my house waiting to be installed for so long.

If i can dig up the receipt I'll let you know.

EDIT: Just came to me. 350zSource.com

reading the description of these springs, it seems like a drop lower than Hotchkis but not as low as Tanabe? This seems like the 'happy medium' i've been looking for.

Thumbs Up for getting pics sooner than stated.

Now these are the Tokico springs over stock shocks/struts? Nice drop!

Get the dampeners too, compliments the springs very well. Koni's are a better alternative IMO.

I heard that the rear lowers 1.25", that could be a bit much....

Sigh....I might still have to go with Hotchkis...
