Nismo S-Tune springs on stock shocks?
Can this be done? Do anyone just sell the Nismo S-Tune springs by themselves? Or is the closest to the Nismo S-Tune very subtle drop the RS-R springs? Does anyone have pics of before and after of this RS-R drop on stock shocks?
I had the RS-R's Ti3000 on Koni yellows on my '03. They felt pretty good, stiff enough to give better performance but still soft enough that the change was not noticable at all when driving on the streets. I looked into getting just the S-Tune spring, but I was not able to find them anywhere. They can be used on the OEM shocks although it's probably not good choice since they have a considerably higher rate than the OEM springs, noticeably more than the RS-R's I'm told. You would need something w/ adjustable valving to balance the dampener to the spring. Or just get the S-Tune coilovers.
F/R in kg/mm (x56 for lbs/in):
OEM - Revised : 5.7 / 7.7
RS-R: 6.2 / 7.5
Nismo S-Tune: 8.1 / 8.9
I'm considering getting the Nismo S-Tune for my '07 since I want the performance but not the really harsh ride on the street.
